If you are anything like me when it comes to gaming, there's nothing better than free internet arcade games. Fast paced action, classic arcade games, and best of all, they are free! Both of the services that I list here have multiple ways you can play games online. They even offer you the chance to win cash prizes if you are good enough...

So let's jump right into the games.

Real Arcade and GameHouse

Real Arcade and Gamehouse merged in 2009 and provide an online gaming service that offers both free internet arcade games online, and downloadable games at a cost. The site offers a free game of the day to allow users to play and test the games first. The free versions have some limitations, usually a set number of levels, or difficulty level. Once you get a chance to play the game, you can choose to either buy the game if you really like it, or simply download another one and try it out. They have 1000s of games.

If you find one that you like and want to keep playing, you can buy it for a one time cost or you can sign up for a monthly gaming package. The monthly price is actually a great value if you and your family like gaming (especially when you compare the cost of the monthly fee to what new games cost nowdays.

Aloha Solitaire is a combination of solitaire and Mah Jong. Simply match up the cards and remove them from play. There are quite a few twists to this though.

Word Slinger is a great word game. If you like a word challenge that is similar to Scrabble, then this one is for you.

Mah Jong Artifacts is another great one. I personally love Mah Jong, and this one puts a few twists on the game.

Enjoy the classic Monopoly? Get Monopoly Tycoon with your FunPass. However, this is much more than your basic Monopoly game.

Luxor 3 is one of the more popular games on their site. I have been playing Luxor since they first one came out, and love them all.

Bejeweled 3 is one of the most popular puzzle games ever. This one is a blast, and if you haven't played it yet, you have to get it.

Cannon Blast is a fun action-puzzle game that pits you against the pirate leader Sharksword.

PopCap Games

PopCap Games is another service that provides free internet arcade games. PopCap has two ways to play free internet games. First, you can play online on their site. These games are always free, no charges whatsoever. The second way you can play, is to download a game on a trial basis. If you like the game, you can then purchase it, and get the full game unlocked.

PopCap also has multiple ways of playing. If you really like a game, chances are you can download it to your PDA or smartphone. And they have lots of games made for Macs, Ipods and Ipads.

PopCap doesn't have any sort of monthly plans. They simply offer free internet arcade games, or downloadable games for trial and purchase. I have bought a few games from PopCap in the past, and play online quite a bit. They have a great service, and I have never had any issues with the games that I bought from them. Peggle is one of PopCaps biggest games, and also one of their most addicting. It is free to try, with the option to buy.

Amazing Adventures Lost Tomb is another fun puzzle game. This one is a free download to try, and if you like it, you'll have to buy it, but man is it fun.

Alchemy is one of the first games on PopCap that I tried. It's a blast.

Zuma and Zuma's Revenge are also PopCap favorites. Look out though, these games are hard to turn off!
