Response from Build-Your-Own-Computer.net: Thanks for the two-step computer problem solving approach. While this is a pretty simplistic approach (and I don't believe it will solve all the computer troubles out there), it can be a good idea to test the trouble early on with a back up drive and RAM early on to see if the computer problems are related to drive and/or RAM. It will help to narrow down the trouble! And if you're lucky (as this visitor seems to indicate), it may solve the problem.
